Handling Guidelines: (A general idea)

Desserts are fragile! Keep your items looking great and tasting heavenly by following this simple guidelines: Plan ahead is the most important thought.  I personally would eat them as I drive off into the sunset (or running other errands) but follow these ideas if you plan to have extras to take places: Keep boxes flat at all times and don't hug them tightly, slanting them at all. Do not stack boxes as they may slide or may weigh down the items below the top box. Do not place the items on a car seat since they may slide around easily.  Instead, place them flat on the floor of the air conditioned car.  Please pay attention as a warm environment may cause the icing and decorations to melt and/or smear. Cakes can be left out of the refrigerator for approximately 5 hours in cooler weather and not in direct sunlight.

Cookies often should be kept at room temperature and not placed in the refrigerator. However, I would keep them in an air-tight container in the shady and cooler area of the kitchen. Most cupcakes and cakes are fine being out for your party and should be kept in the refrigerator overnight. We don’t recommend freezing our products.

Store most items in the refrigerator for longer life with enough room so that they don't get squished.
